Sustainability

Sustainable living is one of our priorities. Being as environmentally conscious as possible helps protect and preserve our beautiful countryside. Here are some of the ways we currently support sustainability:

• Using hot tub water during the drainage process to clean garden patios.
• Providing each property with locally sourced water from Wenlock Spring during changeovers.
• In recent years upgrading to LED light fittings and LED bulbs wherever possible to improve energy efficiency.
• Using refillable cleaning product and toiletries bottles to help minimise plastic waste.
• Reusing all lawn cuttings as natural mulch on flower beds.
• Car pooling with staff to reduce our carbon footprint.
• Biodegradable dog waste bags.
• Natural eco friendly firelighters as opposed to paraffin firelighters.
• Recycling old bedding including duvets to a local pet charity.
• Donating soft furnishings to local charity shops or jumble sales.
• All wastewater is treated through an on-site treatment system to help minimise environmental impact.
• Fixing any leaking taps to reduce water wastage.
• Offer walking maps.
• Planted wildflowers to help produce pollination.
• Never use any pesticides due to pets coming along on holidays too.
• Use of energy conserving signage for heating thermostats.
• Use local baker for fresh homemade cakes.  
• Recycling our Wenlock water bottles back to the original factory to be crushed and remade into new bottles.
